Banana Bread!

Hello again! I know I haven’t posted in  a long time, but we’ve had a lot of guests these past few weeks. I had the opportunity to bake a lot and now it’s time to post about some of them. 🙂

I baked some banana bread to save some very ripe bananas. This is my favorite banana bread recipe that I got from a someone and it has always been a hit in our family.

Sprinkle with confectioners sugar

And enjoy a slice! 🙂

Note: This is not my recipe, someone gave it to me.

Banana Bread:


2 cups Flour

1/4 tsp. Salt

1 tsp. Baking Soda

1 cup sugar

1/2 cup butter

2 eggs, (beaten)

1 tsp. vanilla

3 over ripe bananas, (mashed)

1/2 cup chopped walnuts

confectioners sugar for the top

Preparation Instructions:

In a small bowl mix together all dry ingredients except nuts (if using) and sugar. Cream together the butter and sugar. Add the eggs, vanilla, and bananas. Stir the dry ingredients into the wet and sprinkle a little cinnamon. Blend the walnuts in the batter. Blend all well. Scrape into 2 greased loaf pans and bake at 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes.
